A seasoned professional litigation and defense attorney with over 35 years experience in civil and criminal litigation and defense. Mansfield Collins is certified to practice law in all of the state courts of California and in the United States District Court, Central District, and the United States District Court, District of Arizona. Mr. Collins received his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law (UCLA) and was admitted for practice in September, 1982. He obtained his under graduate degree from the University of California at Irvine (UCI).

As a former partner at the firm of Collins & Mesereau, LLP he gained great experience while it represented individuals, like Michael Jackson abd Robert Blake.  Prior to going into private practice, Mr. Collins served for five years as acting Corporate Counsel to the Commissioner of the California Department of Corporations

Mr. Collins has been a Walnut resident for 30 years. He has a wonderful wife and their two children attended school in the Walnut Valley Unified School District. Not one to sit on the sidelines, he has been very active in community organizing in Walnut. This has included attending dozens of Walnut city council meetings and Mt SAC Board of Trustee meetings and helped organize many events. When asked, Mr. Collins has spoken at many fundraising events and in front of government boards. He regularly provides commentary to Walnut and surrounding communities on Nextdoor.Com. 

Mr. Collins volunteers his time on the following local boards and committees: Walnut Valley Unified School Board Bond Oversight Committee, Board of Directors of United Walnut Taxpayers, a founding member, the Mt SAC Facilities Planning Committee, Walnut Mayors Advisory Committee, and the Los Angeles Community Health Task Force. One of his most enjoyable experiences was being a judge in local Walnut School District student debates sponsored by Diamond Bar Rotary Club. In addition, he has acted as pro bono legal counsel to both the NAACP and CORE in the past.
